Installation Process

The file you get from our server is "workbook.dmg.gz". It is a gzipped (that is, compressed) version of a disk image file. StuffIt Expander can un-gzip the file, leaving you with "workbook.dmg". There are other applications that can un-gzip the file too, but StuffIt Expander is free and is included with Mac OS X.

Double clicking on the "workbook.dmg" file should cause the disk image to mount and appear next to your hard drive icon(s). The disk image is named "Budget Workbook". The application should be automatically copied from the disk image to your desktop, then the disk image file will be erased.

Once the disk image process is complete, you can move the application off from your desktop into your Applications folder, or wherever you want to keep the application.
