A Savings Calculator

This example shows how to use Budget Planner as a simple savings calculator for a ten year period.

How To: Set up a savings calculator
  1. Create a new plan using the File > New menu command.
  2. Enter 10 in the plan Years field.
  3. Enter $1000 in the plan Amount field. This is the initial amount of money in savings.
  4. Enter $100 in the Monthly field. You are adding $100 per month.
  5. Enter 120 (12 months times 10 years) in the Months field.
  6. Enter 5% in the Interest field. You are receiving 5% interest compounded monthly.
