Recurring Transactions

Recurring transactions can be used to remember and easily record future payments, deposits, or any other transactions. Budget Touch's app icon will be badged with the number of due or overdue transactions; on iOS 4 and later the badge will update at midnight on days with upcoming transactions.

Reminders are ordered by due date in the list with the next due reminder at the top. Reminders can be Daily, Weekly, BiWeekly, SemiMonthly, Monthly, BiMonthly, Quarterly, SemiAnnually, or Annually. Reminders have a due date and a warning period. The default reminder is Monthly with a 10 day warning period.

Reminders are shown in the calendar view as a small dot in the lower left corner of the due date.

Transactions that have scheduled reminders display a small clock icon in history lists.

How-To

When creating or editing a transaction set the Recurring Reminder switch to "On". To change the reminder info (frequency, due date, etc.):

From the Account screen touch the Reminder button to display the reminder list.

Touch the reminder icon in the middle toolbar. The bottom section switches to the calendar and reminder list.

To make changes to the reminder touch the reminder in the list to bring up the Reminder Info screen. To record the reminder transaction touch the Record button.

There are two ways to turn a reminder off.

  1. Swipe from left to right on the reminder in the list; the Record button will change to a Delete button. Tap the Delete button to turn off the reminder.
  2. Edit the transaction and turn the Reminder switch to "Off".
